![]() Customer Support told me the ProAdapt Soft is their softest bed, followed by the LuxeAdapt (which is slightly less soft but has more pressure-relief), followed by the LUXEbreeze.Īlso, fellow side sleepers, stop buying firm mattresses. If the LuxeAdapt doesn't work out, I'll probably go elsewhere. I'm immunocompromised and need a good bed. Tempur-Pedic of course rationalizes this by suggesting you should try the mattresses out in a store, but sticking to this policy during a pandemic is IMO anti-consumer and kind of bizarre. So I've just bought another mattress separately. ![]() ![]() They will let you swap the mattress one time, but once you've swapped you're stuck with the new mattress whether you like it or not. Oh yeah, Tempur-Pedic's exchange program sucks. So I'll be returning the LUXEbreeze and getting a soft LuxeAdapt. Granted, if the bed were otherwise totally comfortable I would likely have kept it, because I figured while I still need the Ooler, it's probably easier for the Ooler to maintain temperature on the LUXEbreeze than it would be on anything else. So I went a few days without using it and woke up much too warm more than once, and since it's less expensive to get an Ooler or Chilipad than it is to "upgrade" from the softer LuxeAdapt to the LUXEbreeze, that's a major downside. I have an Ooler/Chilipad on my bed (which I whole-heartedly recommend) and I figured the LUXEbreeze might be cool enough that I didn't need it. Worse still, the cooling materials aren't really cooling. Secondly, the LUXEbreeze is more than $1k more than the LuxeAdapt, but not only is the LuxeAdapt softer (according to Customer Support), but it's softer because the cooling material used in the LUXEbreeze is a bit firmer. TP's customer support said the mattress is likely too firm for me. It's not a bad mattress, it's certainly high quality, but it's a bit misleading.įor one the "soft" is more like "medium-soft." So after a couple of months of breaking in it did soften up more, but I'm broad shouldered and regularly feel pressure on my shoulder and sometimes wake up feeling stiff in my thighs. ![]() I'm a hot sleeper and have struggled with sleep for my entire life, so it wasn't difficult to convince myself to go all-out on a mattress, but, for me, I don't think the LUXEbreeze is worth the money. ![]()
